Yes, I know it’s the middle of March and I am just now posting my February passive income earnings, but it has been a busy month. Not only have I been busy with creating passive income but I have been busy with family things as well.
I’m happy that February is behind us and spring is only a short while away. I have that it wasn’t very nice losing an hour of sleep and trying to get the kids back on schedule this week but I am definitely looking forward to the warmer weather and getting outside more.
As for my online passive income earnings for February they don’t look much different than they did in January, which is frustrating but I have to keep reminding myself that it is going to take time to build it up to where I want the earnings to be.
Speaking of time, I have been doing some analyzing of my work and have concluded that the only thing holding me back from making the money that I want is time. There are only 24 hours in a day and that will never change, so I vowed this month to be more productive with the time I do have. See, I am a stay at home mom of two little ones so I don’t get much time during the day to work. Most of my work comes after they go to sleep at night and by the time I pick up some and take a little breather it is already at least 9:30 – 10:00pm. That means that I usually only have about 4 or so hours a day to work on creating passive income and ideally I would like at least 8 hours, but for right now I have to make do with what I got and be as productive as possible.
In February I was able to get more work done on my niche sites as well as I wrote a few more articles for content sites. I decided that I am going to take a break from writing and focus soly on my niche sites and other blogs for the next month or two to get these up and indexed and start driving traffic to them. I also have a few other passive income opportunities that I learned about that I am experimenting with and will report on later as well.
So, my February earnings for online passive income look like this:
Content sites (eHow, Suite 101, Associated Content): $218.18
Last Month: $213.21
Difference: $4.97
Affiliate Commissions and Adsense: $32.36
Last Month: $35
Difference: -$2.64
Total Passive Income Earnings: $250.54
Total Last Month: $248.21
Difference: $2.33
(per day average in Jan was $8.01 and Feb was $8.95)
Looking at the earnings I still have a long way to go to my $1200 a month goal for June and it’s only 4 months away. I don’t want to be pessimistic but I don’t think I will be there unless a miracle happens. But if it keeps going up every month, I will be happy.
