My Keyword Academy case study is not off the best start, but it is really my fault. I definitely did not get as much work done on my website as I said I was going to.
First of all, I have 6 posts up on the site, which took me much longer to do than expected. My goal was to have the blog up and running with all the 6 posts the site by April 5. It was more like April 12 before I got all the post up. That set me back a week in my goals.
Then, I said I was going to do 25 articles with one link each on Postrunner, which is the guest posting system for Keyword Academy. I didn’t get anywhere near 25 links from Postrunner. I submitted 2 articles with one link each and as of right now, one is approved and live and the other is still waiting on the publisher to approve or reject. So, I have one current backlink for the site.
Now, that being said, I really need to kick it up a notch this month for this site. I am going to attempt to get at least 25-30 backlinks for this site from Postrunner this month. I am also thinking of adding 1-2 more posts on the blog as well depending on how many Postrunner articles I am able to get done.
The Stats for The Keyword Academy Case Study
So, here are the stats for my case study website: (as of 5/5/10)
- Ranking in Google for main keyword- #34 (Page 4)
- Ranking in Google for exact domain keyword – #1 (hardly any traffic at all for keyword though)
- Number of Pages Indexed in Google: 10 (not good at all – none of the posts have been indexed yet!)
- Number of Backlinks in Yahoo – 3 (2 are internal links)
Considering that I didn’t even come close to accomplishing what I wanted for my Keyword Academy site, I would say that the stats are not that bad.
Income Stats for My Keyword Academy Case Study
Right now I have not added Adsense to my site yet. I do have a CPA offer on it from an affiliate network I belong to. I have not made any money from the CPA offer. The offer does relate to the content on the site so it is not just some random offer.
I will most likely add Adsense to the site this month according to how Keyword Academy teaches.
My Plans for May
As mentioned I really need to start building some more backlinks to this website this month. I don’t have that much money right now to outsource this work so it will most likely be me writing the articles. Fortunately it only takes me about 15 minutes to write a 300-400 word article, so the 25-30 articles in a month are totally doable.
One month down and 5 more to go with this case study to see just how much money I can make with one simple Keyword Academy website in only 6 months. I will most likely report on after 6 months though such 9 months and 12 months old to see how it is doing in online passive income. What is your niche market site for this case study? I’m thinking of joining the keyword academy because I’d like to be a part of the case study challenge and see how that’ll work for me…But obviously, I’d like to see what others are doing before I dive into it…

I’m actually not going to be revealing what my actual website is because there are several ways that I could get in trouble doing so. For one it may scew the results because people who would know about from here would click on the site and it would mess with the traffic numbers. Also, being that it is monetized with adsense someone could easily decide to play mean games and do click fraud or find out all my other adsense sites as well. Truthfully, you just can’t trust people that much online to reveal a site that you want to make money from.
I will be able to show you proof of earnings and traffic once the case study gets to around month 3 or 4 most likely.
