Despite what many people try to tell you or sell you for that matter, creating an online passive income will not happen overnight. If you truly want to make a full time passive income online it takes persistence and determination and if you don’t have this, you will not survive!
Now, that may sound harsh, but it is the truth. When you Google “make money online fast” you get over 1.5 million search results. What kind of false impression does this give to newbies who may be looking to into getting started making websites and a passive income online? It seems like just about every other week, some big guru comes out with a program that says that you can be making money online in as little as a week. I’m not saying everyone one of these programs is crap, but they are definitely misleading. Now, I now that I don’t make that much of passive income online yet, but I do know one thing – it takes time and as well as a lot of determination and persistence to make a real online passive income.
The thing that I was really attracted to at the Keyword Academy is that they don’t promise overnight profits. In fact, they say to give a site 6 months before you even start analyzing it to see if it has any potential. For some people, this may not be very appealing to have to wait 3-6 months to see any real income coming in, but the thing about it is that this income will be there month after month and you don’t have to worry about Google slapping you for doing something black hat or taking shortcuts and getting penalized for it.
Why Does Creating an Online Passive Income Take Persistence and Determination?
There are some people at the Keyword Academy that have saying that goes something like this “What you do this year will make you money next year.” Now, for some people this may be a total turnoff. Who wants to work their butt off this year and not reap the real rewards till next year? The thing is that working your butt off this year can give you a bigger reward than you can even imagine in the future.
So why do only people with determination and persistence survive in creating an online passive income? The reason is that you will not see the money come flooding in right away but yet you still have to keep working and working to get things done. You have to continue writing quality content and building backlinks even though your site may not be making any more or very little money. For anyone who doesn’t know what it takes to persevere or be determined to reach a goal, they are not going to stay with the program and eventually will quit trying all together.
So many people bounce around from one making money program to another never really seeing one of these programs through. You will not make any money online if you bounce around from program to program or from eBook to eBook trying the latest fads or techniques to making money. You need to see things through and do the work. The thing is there are plenty of IM programs that will teach you how to make money online but people just don’t have the determination to make them work. This is a job and requires work. You can’t just stare at your computer and expect to make money!
The awesome thing about creating an online passive income is that your determination and persistence will pay off. I don’t care if you are a complete tech newbie or know nothing about Internet marketing when you started. If you gave it all you got and continued to be determined and learned and worked every day you could, then you will make money. Put the necessary work in and you will reap the rewards. You may not see the money today, tomorrow or even two months from now, but stick with it and you can survive and start creating a nice passive income for you and your family.

Great post! You are absolutely right – internet marketing is NOT a get rich quick kind of job (at least for 99% of us). There is something like a 90-95% failure rate for people who pursue internet marketing, and this clearly is because many people are just not aware how much work and time is involved in the process. It seems to me that it takes most people at least a year to start receiving a decent return on their efforts – and often much longer.
