Wow, I really can’t believe that it is already September. When I was little I used to get all excited when it was September because once I knew the “ber” months came around, Christmas was not that far away. This year has really flown by and right now I’m wishing it would slow down a little bit.
As for my online passive income earnings, I really can’t complain that much as I mentioned last month I really haven’t done that much for the past 2 months or so. But, this month was a different story and I was actually quite productive in the second half of August, so I am hoping that reflects in my earnings for September and on.
It definitely seems like my earnings are stagnant but considering in January my passive income earnings were just $248, they are growing, but just very slowly.
Here is my passive income report for August:
Content sites (eHow, Suite 101, Associated Content): $280.96

(Per day average in July was 11.77 and in August was $11.97)
Since I have quite a few Halloween that I have gotten up and a few more I am trying to complete this week, I am really hoping that my affiliate commissions go way up for September and October. I have been working on these Halloween sites for the past 2-3 weeks and am hoping to get them all up, indexed, and ranking half-way decent by the middle of September, so that they are up for the main buying season of Halloween. I’m not sure that I can do it, but they are all exact match domains and don’t have much competition, so I am hoping that with only a few backlinks I can get them ranking on page 1 or 2 quite quickly. Because of the whole pregnancy thing I got way behind in setting them up, but I am trying my hardest to get at least a couple of them ranking well to make some money and then will be sure to work on them next year so they do awesome.

Hello Tiffany, great earnings for the month of August. Great goals for this month and plans for the holiday season. I am going to be so busy between now and December, because there is a lot of money to be made around this season. Good luck to you and have a happy pregnancy..

I’ve just built my first two Halloween Costume sites but I’m struggling to rank them. I need to do some more work on those this week as Halloween will be here before we know it!

Clare – There are a couple different affiliate programs, one of them being Keyword Academy, which I promote on this blog. I’m getting worried about getting my Halloween sites to rank in time as well. It will be here before you know it and I know people are going to start buying costumes soon if they aren’t already.
It’s great that your income has seemed to hold up while not doing anything for nearly two months. That is, after all, the point of passive income. Hopefully, getting back into the swing of things for the last two weeks of August will have a positive impact for you. Best wishes.
August was a great month, especially for eHow earnings. I think affiliate sales will pick up as we move into the fall and winter, but they held steady over the summer for me.

Maria – My ehow earnings were pretty good in August and seem to be doing the same so far for Sept. I’m really hoping that with the holidays coming my affiliate sales on my physical products really start to pick up.
