I can’t believe that it has already been almost 3 months since I last posted here. If anyone is still around, yes, I am still alive.
I’ve actually noticed that over the past few months a lot of fellow bloggers and IMers that were familiar to me have gone MIA as well. I’m sure some of them are busy spending time with their families this summer but I have a feeling that some of them have also sort of given up after the whole Penguin/Panda thing or have moved onto other things.
Although my sites did get hit with the algorithm update, but that is not the main reason why I haven’t been working so much. The main reason is that I am absolutely exhausted with 3 little ones running around and will be welcoming another little one hopefully at the end of the year!
Yes, I am that crazy woman that will have 4 kids that are 5 years and younger. But, I wouldn’t trade it for a thing and I am so blessed to be able to stay home with my kids and take the time off from working when I need to.
Back to Work
After taking off the past 3 or so months from really doing any work (I couldn’t keep my eyes open past 10pm for the first 12 weeks) I have been trying to get back into the swing of things now. After taking that time off and the whole algo updates I sort of feel like a newbie once again, but that really isn’t a bad thing. It has actually given me more motivation and a positive outlook to try different things and put my hand in a few different baskets.
I have a few things on “my plate” right now that I am working on and will hopefully have more updates on this blog as well.
In the past I used to just make sites to make some extra money and it was all about the money, but now I want to build a “real business.” I want to explore different avenues and don’t get me wrong I still have monetary goals but it’s different now. Not really sure how to explain it but my attitude and work ethic has changed and I will make this work. In fact, I’m hoping that in the future this site will help people find a way to really make money online and build their successful business. It will be one step at a time and it may take more time that it has taken others, but there is no way I’m turning back now.
Anyways, I’m pretty surprised at just how many other fellow IMers who I used to follow haven’t posted in quite some time as well. It got me thinking about if they had quit/given up or if they are just too busy building their business for their blogs and forums right now.
So, any long lost fellow IM friends out there want to say, “Hi!” Give a shout out in the comments so we know you are still alive as well

Hey! Good to hear from you! And happy to hear baby number 4 is on the way! I know what you mean about a change in work ethic and ways to build a business. I’ve gone through the same transition this year, though I am still figuring everything out.

@Dave – I’m very blessed to be in the situation I am where we can survive and pay the bills without me having to work, although the extra money is nice especially since the kids are getting older. But, for someone who lost their income and needs it to survive I can see how many people would just give up. But, I think that is how any business works as you are always going to have people sticking it out and others who throw in the towel when the times get tough.

I used to check yours all the time “back in the day.” Anyway… I am totally excited again about a new project and will definitely blog about it soon … I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re on similar paths. Yeah so many people IM have simply dropped off the face of this earth.
In the past you can make easy money but now it is totally different game.

It sounds like you have a lot going on! It is hard to find a balance between your family and your blog.
What happened to your blog? Did you make a new site(URL?) or have you decided that it’s not worth the effort anymore?
